Expatriate moms living in Hong Kong have a pretty high likelihood of owning Disney’s annual passports.

I’ve been a Disney enthusiast since my time in Japan!

It’s been three months since I started living in Hong Kong, and I quickly obtained an annual passport. So, I’d like to share the process with you.

Flow of the Day: How to Create Your Annual Passport

I chose to purchase a 1-day passport and create an annual pass within the park.

This decision was influenced by the fact that it was my first time, uncertainty about whether my son would want to visit repeatedly, and whether we would really go many times.

They deduct the price difference from the 1-day passport, so you won’t lose out by creating it on the same day.

The location is the Magic Access Member Service Center.

This is what the entrance looks like.

Inform the cast members that you want to create an annual passport. We arrived on a Saturday morning, and we waited for almost 30 minutes.

While waiting in line, you will receive a form from the cast member to fill out.

Here’s an enlarged view. You will need a Hong Kong ID for residents, and tourists must have their passport. Don’t forget these! My son, who didn’t have a Hong Kong ID, needed his passport.

There were also a few paintings and sculptures displayed indoors.

After waiting for about 30 minutes, we finally reached the counter.

At the counter, you submit the form and show your ticket for the day. They deduct the cost of the day ticket and create your annual pass.

You will be asked to present your Hong Kong ID or passport.

They will take your photo at the counter. It seems okay to wear a character headband during the photo. By the way, my photo had my husband and son in it, haha.

You will receive the card right after payment.

We got the Gold annual passes for our family!

People who create an annual pass and visit the park three times within three months can receive the left pin badge.

Those who visit the park ten times with their annual pass can also receive the medal on the right.

Both items can be collected at the location where the annual passport was created.

When we visited the park for the second time, we received this email from the official website! It informed us that we would receive a badge if we came one more time.

Notification email about receiving the pin badge

When we created the annual pass, we requested notification emails in English. However, they arrived in Chinese… We will try to change it at the counter later. (Update: We were able to change it successfully later.)

My husband’s name was also incorrectly recorded. I was so excited when we received the card that I didn’t check the details like the name… We will have it corrected next time.

For those who plan to get one in the future, please check the name first as soon as you receive it!! There may be errors!!!

Summary and Feedbak

I finally got my long-awaited annual passport!

I was undecided about which type to choose, but for the first year, I went with Gold. I’m looking forward to enjoying various activities like watching shows and soaking in the atmosphere.

I’ll be sharing information about the park, so please stay tuned!
